Venue
Our program takes place in the Island of Crete, one of the most abundant destinations of the Aegean Sea in Greece – in terms of 5,0000-year culture and breathtaking nature. The venue (workshop & accommodation) is located at the unique 4-star village resort of Porto Platanias or 5 star Porto Platanias Resort and Spa (upon request) in Chania within walking distance from the beach and the village of Platanias. It is a perfect place to host wellness retreats, professional and personal development programmes. During the end of October, the air and the sea are still pleasantly warm – to further support participants in developing their personal strength and resilience. A bit on Chania, Crete Crete (Κρήτη pronounced “kreêtee”) is the largest island, part of the country of Greece (small European country a bit over 10 million people). Expect a bit of the ‘island mentality’ as in essence Chania is a small town, with a strong Cretan sub-culture to include locals, tourists of various backgrounds. History goes back to ancient times (Minoan culture) with a strong shipping and trading past. Crete is traditionally a supplier of great produce, olive oil, fish, for that Mediterranean food, so please try some local foods. Chania is considered to be “an architectural gem” and one of the most important public markets in the region, as the municipal market allows visitors to shop for local produce of excellent quality. Tourist shops are also available for taking back some memoirs such as olive oil soap, magnets, clothing articles (more on Chania here: The GREEK KI Reporter). Our programme takes place in the Island of Crete, one of the most exotic destinations of the Aegean Sea in Greece. The workshop and the accommodation is at the unique 4-star village resort of Porto Platanias in Chania that provides you with safe and luxurious accommodations. It is the perfect place to combine personal growth with holidays. This Mediterranean destination embraces both sea and charming nature. Porto Platanias Village is located within walking distance from the beach and the village of Platanias. Local taverns, Greek eateries, and arts shops draw people from all around the world and contribute to the vibrant feeling of the Cretan summer, still offering 30°C (86°F) daytime temperatures and 25°C (77°F) warm sea toenjoy in September.
